Our new Ultramag strings are made with type 52 alloy – a highly magnetic material made from 52% nickel and 48% iron.
This blend gives Ultramag strings more power, sustain, and a longer string life than traditional nickel or steel strings.

We use type 52 alloy designed for use in the aerospace industry allowing Ultramag strings to maintain their tuning in the most extreme environments.
