Product Description

The PRL-8341-G0 is a set of Ratio Locking Tuned Machine Heads for an electric guitar that uses three a side tuners. It has a vintage shaped button, has a two pin casing and is finished in black. *Now includes InvisoMatch Standard Mounting Plates for easy installation. Fits most headstocks.

Ratio - Tuned Machine Heads are the first and only machine head to incorporate the different string gauges into the tuning equation. We balanced the individual gear ratios to each string dramatically simplified the tuning process. No more overshooting the G string or twisting away on the high E string. With Ratio, each half key turn equals one semitone change on all strings! Quicker, more accurate tuning on every string.

THE SIMPLE GENIUS BEHIND RATIO¨ TUNED MACHINE HEADS

We've tuned the gear ratios to each string position so that every string responds the same to any tuning adjustment. You get fine tuning on the thicker core strings and coarser tuning on the thinner core; anywhere from 12:1 to 39:1 gear ratio. With Ratio¨, one turn is about one tone change on all strings, making tuning, retuning and open tunings easier, quicker and more intuitive.

PREDICTABLE, PRECISE TUNING, RETUNING AND OPEN TUNINGS.

Ratio¨ tuning feels natural. You don't have to think about which string you are tuning because they all feel and respond the same. No more overshooting the Low E or G. No more twisting away on the High E or D string. Open tunings have never been easier. String gauges such as light top, heavy bottom are no problem with Ratio¨; they still do the same precision tuning.

NOT JUST ANOTHER MACHINE HEAD.

Ratio is more than just another entry into the machine head market. Instead, Ratio has reinvented how machine heads function with the musician.

CHOOSING YOUR RATIO TUNER

Why Ratio Tuners?

  • With higher gear ratio in low E (39:1) G (35:1) strings, it is easer to tune due to wider range of fine tuning.
  • Smoother and more precise tuning.  1 full turn = 1 semi-tone.
  • Solid tuning feel due to high quality materials used.  Available in non-locking and locking.
  • Can replace most tuners with the included Invisomatch mounting plates

LOCKING VS. NON-LOCKING

Locking tuners have a screw assembly to lock the string into the string hole which eliminates the need to wrap the strings on the post.  This has two benefits: 1) less string wrapping means less reason for string to slip and go out of tune and 2) changing strings will be faster due to less turns needed.

Note that locking tuners do not solve all tuning issues.  You also have to consider changing nut (the usual suspect of strings going out of tune) as well as the saddles.  Check out Graphtech's nut and saddles as they are engineered to keep your guitar in tune!

•	No wrapping of strings needed. The string locks into place using the bottom screw

ACOUSTC VS. ELECTRIC

Acoustic guitars has a wound G string and requires a different gear ratio.  Also the machine head button of acoustic guitars are bigger than electric guitar machine heads.  If you are using Ratio for acoustic guitars, make sure you choose an acoustic model.

COMPATIBILITY

Ratio tuners offer different models to fit your guitar

With the included invisomatch plates, you can retrofit ratio tuner to most guitars
