The Schaffer Replica® BASS-X

The Schaffer Replica® Bass-X features the 100% analog optical limiter, "Goalpost" EQ, harmonic clipping circuit, boost and line buffer circuit we reverse-engineered from the original Schaffer-Vega Diversity System (SVDS) wireless unit used by Rudy Sarzo, Bootsy Collins, Gene Simmons and nearly every legendary bassist throughout the 70s and 80s. This unique combination of studio effects reproduces the percussive attack , low-mid growl and singing sustain heard on some of the greatest live bass tracks ever recorded!

FEATURES

• GAIN Knob controls our harmonic clipping circuit that bumps the crucial low-mid frequencies responsible for giving live instruments punch and allowing bass to stand out in the mix.
• BOOST Knob controls a powerful pre-amp capable of delivering a whopping 31db of clean boost. This analog boost is perfect for balancing the output signal once the perfect amount of drive has been dialed in on the GAIN knob.
• LIMITER Knob controls the signal amplitude threshold while removing the clipping and distortion generally associated with gain increases. The sensitivity of this effect may be fine tuned to give your instrument an open or percussive attack.
