[CORE TECHNOLOGY FOR EXCELLENT SOUND]
SIRE’s unique preamp system is a perfect example that represents our technology and philosophy that is integrated into our instruments. With multiple tone controls, players have total command to achieve the perfect tone they desire. The use of 18v batteries enables the player to attain unaltered natural sounds with strong and powerful outputs. With the 3-band EQ, players are able to carry out versatility in sounds that will be suited for all music sessions and performances. All models are built with the option of both active and passive modes. Even in the passive mode, the volume, tone, and pickup balancer are fully functional, giving the players more control of the tone in any mode.
All models also come with swappable midrange control options that Marcus Miller advocates as a must have option. The middle frequency control knob allows the players to set the sound frequency to anywhere between 80Hz~2,000Hz. This option will be very handy when trying to find the desired sound
MODERN FEEL & SOUNDMARCUS BLUE HUMBUCKER SET
The core component of an electric bass guitar are the magnetic pickups. They detect the vibrations of the strings which are amplified through speakers – much like how a microphone works. Therefore, the quality and tendency of the pickups greatly influence the tone and characteristics of the sound. The big, pole-piece style Humbucker Pickup Sets have been redesigned to be a newly developed soap bar style Humbucker Pickup. This unique Humbucker style produces strong outputs with punchy and solid mid tones.
ROLLED FRETBOARD EDGES
[TRUE CUSTOM SHOP FEATURE]
We have taken the overall playability to the next level with the ROLLED FRETBOARD EDGES.What only custom shops can achieve, is now available in the Sire 2nd Gen series. These rounded edges will give players a firmer and more natural grasp, compared to the typical fretboards. We were well aware of the difficulties we would face in our ambition to apply the rolled fretboard edges in a mass production factory. Together with the production team, we worked tirelessly to make this theory a reality. This was quite a challenge, almost an impossible mission. We tried making several adjustments to the production process and even introduced a new machine. Since our Sire basses also have bindings, this made it exceptionally challenging, way beyond our imaginations. But eventually, we found the answers and we are ecstatic to present the Rolled Fretboard Edges in all our 2nd Generation models.
NEW MARCUS MILLER MODERN BASS TYPE
With both classic and modern feel and design, this new bass can produce the desired sound for all genres of music from soft to even strong metal grunge. For an added special touch of detail, the M2 truss rod cover and black plate is also made with real wood for a premium look and feel.
INDONESIAN MAHOGANY / CANADIAN HARD MAPLE
BODY – INDONESIAN MAHOGANY
The body is made with Indonesian Mahogany rather than Chinese Basswood, Agathis, or Nato : materials commonly used in common low-costing basses. Indonesian Mahogany is well known for its rich, full-bodied tone which produces a warm and clean sound.
EASE OF PLAYABILITY CANADIAN HARD MAPLE NECK
The M2 neck is made with Canadian hard maple. The hardness and strength of the hard maple minimizes the movement and stabilizes the neck to maintain its original shape and condition. For a modern feel, the M2 has a Rosewood / Maple fretboard with a 12” radius. The medium size frets will offer ease and comfort in playability while the Rosewood fretboards will give the bass a warm and rounded sound.
ALL STEEL MATERIAL BRIDGEMARCUS STANDARD BASS BRIDGE(With Body Thru)
The M2 is equipped with a Marcus Standard Bass Bridge. Typically, bridges in introductory basses are made with a type of alloy using Zinc. Bass bridges with Zinc are easy to manufacture and inexpensive. However, these Zinc alloy bridges may look good on the outside but has difficulty in creating good and quality sounds. Our M2 model’s Marcus Standard Bass Bridge may look like a basic bridge made with Zinc, but it is in fact an All Steel Material Bridge that adds durability and better sound achievement.
The Marcus Standard Bass Bridge also has a Body Thru method that allows the bass string to be adjusted through an opening in the back of the body, allowing a tighter set-up. This mechanism allows a more balanced, accurate, and stable tone
HARD & CLEAR PAINT
Most introductory basses are made with hard, less transparent paint. For a more premium look, the M2 models are made with the same high-quality paint used in the V7 and M7 models. We want our customers to experience a bright and cheerful feeling when they see our Sire basses in stores. Just recall the feeling of seeing a low-costing instrument. That unsatisfactory reaction is partially due to the quality of paint. The paint applied on the M2 is not only durable but also aids in getting that better sound quality.
STABLE AND ACCURATE TUNING
Tuning Gear : Sire Basic Die casting Gear
Equipped with SIRE’s own basic diecasting gear machine heads developed with accurate gear ratio, the machine heads are very reliable in tuning.
PPS TUSK (SYNTHETIC IVORY)
The Nut is made with PPS(Poly Phenylene Sulfide)Tusk, a material known for its strong durability and heat resistance with similar characteristics of real ivory. A PPS Tusk nut is much stronger and is more responsive than plastic nut that is commonly found in less expensive instruments. PPS Tusk nuts produce a more stable, balanced, and tighter accurate tone. It enhances the string vibration for maximum output.
